Yvette is the author of The Adoption book and is the wife of an amazing man who is also her partner in real estate. They have three teenaged children and live in rural Alberta, Canada. Yvette has been writing since she was old enough to hold a pencil. She has written poetry, music, lyrics, short stories, articles for newspapers, and books. The Adoption is her first non-fiction book.
She has been a Christian since she was 5 years old but she feels she has only been truly born-again for just a few years. ”I didn’t know that being a Christian meant more than just saying a ‘sinner’s prayer’ then going to church on Sundays, praying when you face a crisis, singing songs that you don’t really understand and applying scriptures as ‘principles’ to get your needs met.” -Yvette
To us, at The Adoption, Jesus is more than someone we pray to when we have a need. He is more than someone who lived long ago because He is still alive today! He died, not because we were so rotten and we needed to be fixed, but He died because He loves us. Father God has always known our eternal value and wanted to bring us back to Himself- and He did it through Jesus.
We live to love others. We live to destroy the works of the devil. We live loved because we have become love.
This is the eternal purpose of the Church!
The Dempster Family enjoys their fat dog named “Reese”, their personable lizard named “Geeko” and their big house full of silly ideas!!
